Bacon and avocado are the new peanut butter and jelly. Yes I went there. I’ve been asked for this recipe so many times that I almost feel obligated to share it. For this I used some of my favorite brands: Flavor God’s ranch & bacon lovers seasonings, ghee from OMgee and FARMER JOHN® bacon.
The ratio I use is 1 avocado and 2-4 strips of bacon for every 2 egg rolls. I mashed the avocado and crumbled the bacon but that’s not necessary. You can slice the avocado and leave the bacon in strips. Sometimes if I’m feeling fancy I’ll dice up some red onion and add that to the avocado along with and a splash of lemon or lime juice.
Enjoy this visual post.
1 1/2 tbsp of ghee to pan-fry the egg rolls. You can also bake them at 400 for 20 minutes or so.
Time to make the dip. Only 3 ingredients used: Fat-free Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning from Flavor God and crumbled bacon from FARMER JOHN®.
Adding crumbled bacon is optional but I highly suggest it.
