How To Make Franks & Beans In The Crockpot

Beans & franks is a true set-it-and-forget-it slow cooker recipe. Toss all the ingredients into the slow cooker, give it a good stir, and let it cook!

Slow Cooker

  1. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.
  2. Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6.

What Type Of Beans To Use

Use your preferred baked beans for this recipe. I used basic, generic baked beans. Keep in mind that the type of beans that you pick may alter the taste of the recipe. With that in mind, depending on the type you use, you may need to adjust the other ingredients. For example, if you use BBQ baked beans, you might omit the BBQ sauce.

What Type Of Franks To Use

Franks, weiners, hot dogs…use what you want. What you see in the pics is all-beef hot dogs. Other suggestions include smoked sausage or even kielbasa.

FAQs & Tips

  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking. If you want your beans & franks sweeter, add more brown sugar or ketchup.
  • Jazz this dish up to your liking! Add ingredients like bacon and bell peppers. Make this spicy by adding jalapeños!
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When reheating leftover beans and franks, you may need to add water so it does not dry out.
  • Serve this as a one-pot recipe with with side dishes like rice, cornbread, or salad. FAQs & Tips
  •  I have yet to successfully make this in the Instant Pot. After two tries, I am still getting the burn notice.
