Fishpeople’s seafood is all sustainable and wild caught in American waters by independent fishermen. Their salmon seafood kit is easy to use & delicious!
It’s National World Ocean Day!! I’m ashamed to admit that I’m one of those people who lives near the ocean (less than 4 miles) but hardly ever goes. Still, l like to think I do my part by only buying and consuming sustainable seafood. Sustainable seafood is seafood that is either caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species and the well-being of the oceans, as well as the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities.
Fishpeople‘s seafood is exactly that – sustainable seafood. They’re so committed to sustainability and knowing where your fish comes from that they print tracking codes on all of their products for full visibility into the fish you purchase. When I heard they recently launched seafood kits, I knew it would the perfect opportunity to take a break from slow cooking and put my husband to work. That’s right, everything you see in these pics were made by my husband! I’ll admit I hovered while he cooked (I couldn’t help myself) but still, it was all him.
Each Kit comes with 2 fish fillets fresh topper & garnish, a moisture-lock tray and foil, and a step-by-step instruction card. The husband chose Meyer Lemon & Herb Panko Wild Alaskan Salmon for his creation. He paired the salmon with a simple salad and homemade dressing. Recipe for the dressing below:
Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing
3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic, vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp oregano
Pinch of salt & pepper
Fantastic! I’m not just saying that to make the husband feel good. The fish came out delicious. The salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked (thanks hubby), and the toppings were a very nice touch. Are you doing anything for National World Ocean Day?
I was compensated with a seafood kit for this post but all opinions and recipes are my own. For more about my disclosure policy see here: https://fitslowcookerqueen.com/about/disclosure-policy.
