Slow cooker Buffalo wings have the flavor of classic Buffalo wings but uses simpler way to make them. Chicken wings slow cook with hot sauce, ghee, and a homemade dry ranch dressing mix for a healthier version of this classic wings recipe. Perfect for game day parties or busy weeknights, these Buffalo wings deliver flavor without the fuss of frying. A quick broil or air-fry at the end adds that crispy finish. You can serve these wings as an appetizer or a full meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee, melted
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix (see below for homemade)
Homemade Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the hot sauce, melted butter, and ranch dressing seasoning mix to the slow cooker. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Add the wings and toss until they are evenly covered.
  3. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or LOW 4 to 6.

Optional but recommended steps:

  1. Remove wings from slow cooker. Line a baking sheet with foil. Lay wings flat on the baking sheet and BROIL a few minutes each side or until crisp.
  2. Top with the sauce from slow cooker.
