{VIDEO} Slow Cooker/Instant Pot Ribs (Low-Carb, Paleo, Whole30)

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs pork ribs
  • 23 tbsp seasoning salt (see blog post for homemade)
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar  or water (for pressure cooker)
  • 12 cups bbq sauce

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  1. Season ribs generously with seasoning salt or your favorite rub.
  2. Add ribs to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook HIGH 3-4 hours or LOW 6-8.
  4. Carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker, they will be hot.
  5. Add the bbq sauce and BROIL the ribs a few minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the ribs are crisp to your liking.

Instant Pot

  1. Season ribs generously with seasoning salt or your favorite rub.
  2. Pour apple cider vinegar into the pressure cooker.  Place the trivet into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  3. Add the ribs to the pressure cooker by standing them up standing them on the trivet and wrapping them around the inside of the pot in a circle.
  4. Close lid and seal valve. Set high pressure and cook 18 minutes per pound of ribs. Natural release pressure.
  5. Carefully remove the ribs from the pressure cooker, they will be hot.
  6. Add the bbq sauce and BROIL the ribs a few minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the ribs are crisp to your liking.

Notes

For the slow cooker, an optional step is to wrap the ribs in foil before placing them in the slow cooker to cook.
