Ingredients

  • 2 bottles red wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 large orange, sliced
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup or honey

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  1. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Strain the mulled wine through a fine mesh strainer and add back to the slow cooker. Add extra sweetener if needed.
  4. Serve warm.

Instant Pot

  1. Add all the ingredients to the Instant Pot. Stir to mix well.
  2. Close lid and seal valve. Set high pressure and cook for 1 minutes. When cooking time is complete, quick release the pressure.
  3. Strain the mulled wine through a fine mesh strainer and add back to the slow cooker. Add extra sweetener if needed.
  4. Serve warm.
