Crockpot Crab Dip (Hot or Cold)

This crockpot crab dip only has 5 ingredients but it’s still full of flavor. Impress your guests with this easy Maryland inspired crab dip that you can serve hot or cold. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with sweet crab meat, this dip is everything you want in a comforting seafood starter. Instructions to make this crab dip in the Instant Pot are also included.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crabmeat, lump or claw
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese,
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  1. Spray slow cooker generously with cooking spray.
  2. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.
  3. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or LOW 4 to 6.

Instant Pot

  1. Spray Instant Pot generously with cooking spray.
  2. Turn on the Instant Pot to low sauté. Add all ingredients except the crab. Stir frequently until the cream cheese and cheddar cheese is melted.
  3. Gently fold in the crab. Cook an additional 5 minutes or until everything is fully heated and creamy. Stir occasionally.
