Instant Pot garlic butter steak bites is a recipe that’s easy to make and packed with flavor. Tender cuts of beef cooks in a a homemade, garlicky butter sauce. Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch cubes, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup melted ghee or butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced or sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth for Instant Pot, 1/2 cup broth for the slow cooker
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced (optional)

Instructions

Instant Pot

  1. Set Instant Pot to the sauté setting. When hot, add ghee/butter & the beef. Cook a few minutes until the beef starts to brown. Stir in onion and mushrooms (if using). Cook a 2-3 minutes, or until mushrooms are soft. Add garlic and cook an additional minute.
  2. Turn off the pressure cooker. Add the steak seasoning and 1 cup of broth. Stir to mix well. Using a wooden spoon scrape  the bottom of the Instant Pot to remove any bits that stuck to it, make sure you scrape it well to avoid burning during cooking.
  3. Close lid and seal valve. Set high pressure and cook for 9 minutes. When cooking time is complete, quick release the pressure.

Slow Cooker

  1. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.
  2. Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6.
