SLOW COOKER/INSTANT POT

HOT DOGS

If you love steamed, ‘ballpark’ style hot dogs then cook them in your slow cooker or instant pot! Perfect for feeding a crowd, this 1-ingredient recipe couldn’t get any easier.

WHAT TYPE OF HOT DOGS TO USE Use whatever brand you like. You can use regular length or bun size length hot dogs however bun length hot dogs cannot be cooked standing up, they will not fit so will need to be cooked laying down.

HOW MANY HOT DOGS TO USE How many people are you feeding and how large is your slow cooker? If you stand the hot dogs up, a medium-size slow cooker (3.5 to 4-quart) should hold up to 48 regular length hot dogs. A 6-quart appliance should hold up to 64 hot dogs.

SLOW COOKER

Add hot dogs to the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 1-2 hours or LOW for 2-4 hours.

PRESSURE COOKER

Pour water into the pressure cooker. Add hot dogs. Close lid & seal valve. Set high pressure and cook for 1 minute. Quick release pressure.

You can store the leftover cooked slow cooker or instant pot hot dogs in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can also freeze the leftovers for up to 2 months.
