This easy slow cooker chicken legs recipe produces juicy chicken drumsticks with minimal effort. Using a simple homemade seasoning blend, this fuss-free chicken dish can be served year round. Instructions to make chicken legs in the Instant Pot are also included in the blog post.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken legs
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  1. Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Add the chicken to the slow cooker. Add all the seasonings. Toss until the chicken is coated. Or mix the seasonings together and sprinkle them on top of the food in the slow cooker.
  2. Cook HIGH 3-4 hours or LOW 6-8.

Instant Pot

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper. Toss the seasonings mix with the chicken, ensuring all the pieces are evenly coated.
  2. Pour 1 cup water or broth into the pot. Add the chicken on top.
  3. Close & seal vent. Select high pressure and set time for 15 minutes. When cooking time is complete, quick-release the pressure.
