Once you make slow cooker crockpot milk boiled corn, you will never want to make corn another way. Corn on the cob slow cooks with milk, butter, salt, and sugar. The result is kernels that are incredibly tender, sweet, and rich in flavor. Instructions to make this boiled milk corn recipe in the Instant Pot are also included.

Ingredients

  • 4 ears of corn, shucked
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  1. Add the water, milk, salt, and sugar (if using) to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well. Add the corn. You make need to break the pieces of corn in half, depending on the size of your slow cooker.  Place the butter on top.
  2. Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6.

Instant Pot

  1. Add the water, milk, salt, and sugar (if using) to the Instant Pot. Stir to mix well. Add the corn. You make need to break the pieces of corn in half, depending on the size of your pressure cooker.  Place the butter on top.
  2.  Close & seal vent. Select high pressure and set time for 5 minutes. When cooking time is complete, quick-release the pressure.
