Slow Cooker Spiked Cider

Holiday season means entertaining. This slow cooker spiked cider recipe using all-natural fruit will have your house smelling amazing while adding a nice 'spike' to your punch.

Ingredients

  • 6 apples, cored & sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 10-12 ounces spiced rum

Instructions

  1. Add apples, sweetener of your choice, cranberries, orange, cinnamon sticks, and nutmeg the slow cooker.
  2. Pour in enough water to cover all the ingredients. Approx 6-7 cups.
  3. Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4­-6.
  4. Strain fruit using mesh strainer. Pour strained cider back into the slow cooker.
  5. Stir in rum. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes.
