Honey and mustard = a match made in food heaven. Seriously you can use the combo on so many things: vegetables, poultry, seafood, red meat, etc. My favorite foods to use a honey mustard sauce or marinade on are salmon and chicken.

This recipe only uses…you guessed it, 5 ingredients. With a prep time of 5 minutes as well. So easy but packed with flavor. I used 2 lbs of wings but you can easily double or triple this recipe for a larger crowd.

before

The sauce will water down as it cooks. If you want to thicken your sauce then I suggest you use a paleo slurry of arrowroot/water slurry. Remove the wings from the slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp arrowroot starch and 1/4 cup water. Pour mixture into slow cooker and cook on HIGH 5-10 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Pour sauce on top of wings or add them back into the slow cooker until ready to serve.

after

This recipe is a great potluck dish, appetizer, or game-day snack. I keep these in regular rotation in my household during football season.

Even if you don’t thicken the sauce, don’t throw it away! Pour it on top of the wings before serving.

You can swap out chicken wings for chicken breast (bone-in, boneless, skin-on or skinless), thighs and even pork chops or tenderloin.

I topped mine with fresh rosemary for garnish.

  1. Do you brown them in oven before or after you put them in the crock pot. To give them a little brown color.

  2. Made this a couple weeks ago, LOVE IT. Want to make a bigger batch next time. Only thing I’d change is add a small bit of salt. Used a Honey Dijion, wasn’t too sweet.

  3. This was such an easy yet delicious recipe! Making it was the first, legitimate time I’ve used my slow cooker (the overnight oats fail doesn’t count in my book) & my guy loved it & asked me to keep it on the roster. Thanks for sharing!
