FAQs & Tips
- Make this up to 2 days ahead and store in an airtight mason jar until ready to use.
- Star anise is listed as optional because it can be expensive and hard to find.
- The slow cooker potpourri can simmer for hours or days. If the water starts to evaporate, add more water to keep it going.
- Get creative with your potpourri. For example, if you do not have an orange, use lemon slices. Optional ingredients to add include ginger slices, vanilla beans or a few drops of vanilla extract, nutmeg, apple slices, etc.

Can what you’ve used already be stored and used over again? Or does this recipe make one time and you have to use fresh the next time?
Excellent
