FAQs & Tips

What type of potstickers should you use?

You can use frozen or fresh potstickers. I prefer frozen. This can be beef, chicken, pork, vegetable, or seafood. What you see here in the pictures is miniature-size chicken dumplings.

Can you add different vegetables?

Of course. In fact, I encourage you to use your favorite vegetables. Other additions include ingredients like snap peas or broccoli. Don’t like mushroom? Omit them.

Can you use fresh vegetables in place of the packed coleslaw?

Absolutely. The coleslaw mix is just a shortcut.

What type of broth should you use?

Use whatever broth you like. Since I used chicken potstickers, I used chicken broth.

How can you make this spicy?

To make this potsticker soup spicy, I suggest adding ingredients like red pepper flakes, sriracha, or chili oil

How do you store leftovers?

Store leftover crockpot potsticker soup in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

What size slow cooker did you use?

I use a  6-quart slow cooker or Instant Pot for this recipe.
