Ingredients For Air Fryer Turkey Breast Tenderloin

There are only 3 ingredients in the easy air fryer turkey recipe.

  • Turkey Breast Tenderloin: 24 ounces turkey breast tenderloins. It’s common to find 2 packaged together.
  • Oil: Oil of your choice, I like to use extra-virgin olive oil. You can also use melted butter.
  • Seasonings: Keep it simple: salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasonings. Don’t have Italian seasonings? Use another dried herb like parsley or basil.

  2. Rub turkey tenderloins all over with the oil and season evenly with the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

What Is Turkey Breast Tenderloin?

Turkey tenderloin is a boneless, skinless portion of the turkey. It’s the long strip of meat located on the inside of the turkey breast. Tenderloin is…tender! Which makes it great for air frying. It’s also a good alternative to cooking a whole turkey at Thanksgiving or any other holiday. Personally, I make this air fryer turkey tenderloin year-round not just during the holiday season.

Seasoning The Turkey Breast Tenderloin

For the seasoning on the air fryer turkey breast tenderloin, I kept it simple and used dried Italian seasoning.  If you don’t have Italian seasoning, use your preferred dried herb like oregano, basil, or parsley.

What Is An Air Fryer?

What is an air fryer exactly? The name air fryer is a little bit confusing, because when you cook food in your air fryer you aren’t actually frying it. An air fryer cooks your food by circulating hot air around the food at a very high-speed, cooking the food and producing a crispy ‘fried’ layer. This is called convection so your air fryer is actually a small countertop convection oven. An air fryer can help you cook your food faster while still getting a nice baked or fried texture on the outside, all with a very small amount of oil. Air fryers come in a variety of different sizes and styles. What you see here in the pics is a 5.8-quart air fryer that easily fit approximately 1 1/2 pounds of turkey breast tenderloin.

Baking Instructions

Don’t have an air fryer? That’s okay! You can also bake your tenderloins. Preheat the oven to 350. Oil and season the tenderloin like you would for the air fryer but place the prepared turkey in a roasting pan instead. Cover and cook for 35-40 minute or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.  When the turkey breast tenderloins are done cooking, let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
